Storz Hazelnut Cream Dice Candy
Manufacturer: Storz
Rating: 3.5/5
My 50th review–yay! Thanks to everyone who reads this, I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I do writing it.
These were another stocking gift. True to name, they’re candy cubes, wrapped in red foil wrappers with white dots to suggest dice. The dice came 8 to a red net bag. The address on the label is German, so I have high hopes for these.
The candy itself is a small brown cube, and instead of covering it with chocolate or making it solid, they simply made a hazelnut-chocolate cream and shaped it into a cube. It’s a novel approach that I quite like. The cube has a mild aroma, reminiscent of hot chocolate.
The candy has a similar bite and melt to a truffle, and the chocolate is good but mild–this is actually a good thing, as it allows the buttery notes of the hazelnut to shine through. A nice treat, and a little above average.
Where do you purchase these? thanks
Hi Barbara! Sorry for the long wait. You can find these at Cost Plus World Market during the holiday season.
